Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
If my ex got a protection order against me so that I would have to leave our apartment,am I able to get my apartment back or at least my name off the lease when the case is over? He accused me of domestic violence, but he pushed me first and broke my toe. I haven't had a chance to tell my side yet,but I'm just really worried about my credit because I paid all the bills and kept everything on track. I'm not sure if the order is permanent or just until the case is over.

A protection order usually lasts the duration of the case, although some judges will lift them sooner or modify them due to certain circumstances such as child care, etc. Getting your name off the lease would be a civil matter between you and your landlord and would probably require your ex to agree that your name be removed. You may want to hire an attorney for both matters.
