My roomate answered and the next thing i know the cops were in our house they walked around into my room and found plaNTS growing. i didnt know if i should just pay the fine and be done with it or if that on my recored would be negitive for jobs later on?

It depends on whether you're charged with a misdemeanor or felony....You have genuine legal arguments that might avoid a rough sentence......you cant go into this blind...at the very least.you can lose your driver's license for at least 6 months and up to 5 years.....
.if you have a bad judge, you could be in trouble, so protect yourself, by at least talking to a lawyer....if you absolutely cant afford one, you have the right to have one appointed...so in that case, go to the court asap and tell them this....you have some consent and search issues here that could leverage a better deal....otherwise, feel free contact me directly.....216.952.1990....
