Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

hello, my question is:

a senior student in highschool, whom is either 18 or 19-years-old, starts a fight and punches a teacher. student is arrested.

what happens next?

-where is student taken? the county jail? is student immediatly sent before a judge? if so, what happens next? is this call an 'arraingment'?

-what is student considered? juvie or criminal? because student is no longer a minor but is in highschool.

-so would it be considered 'assualt on a government worker'? which would be a felony?

OK, SO SAY student gets released on bail or recognizance and has a return court date.

MEANWHILE, student is not allowed back on school property. there is an expulsion hearing and student is expelled, BUT, student is allowed in the 'alternative school program'. student doesnt fight the expulsion either.

ALSO, the teacher that was assualted doesnt want to press charges against student.

so, what happens now?

-ive heard something about the 'teacher, principle, and counselor' being involved and appearing in court along with student. is this true? is this where the teacher tells the judge he doesnt want to press charges?

-will the court hearing be in private, or in public?

keep in mind that student has no prior history of trouble with the law. has never been arrested before.

what happens at the court hearing?

does student need lawyer? what if student cant afford one, will student be give a 'court appointed' one? and will student be charged costs by the court appointed one?

can student have parents there with?

OK, SO ABOUT THE COURT HEARING, will the judge take into consideration that: the teacher doesnt want to press charges, and that the principle has offered the student to attend the 'alternative program', and the student has a clean record?

will student really be charged with a 'felony'? or will student be given a lesser charge or... community service or something? will there be a deal made between student and judge?

ok, so, yeah, i would really like to know:

-what will happen at the court hearing?

-will it be in private or public?

-will the assualted teacher and the schools principle be there?

-will student be charged?

thankyou
