Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
When you are questioned by a police officer as as suspect and you give a statement to that officer written and verbal as a suspect, does the officer have to read your miranda rights before questioning or writing a statement in order to use it against you

they only have to read you your rights when you are arrested. NEVER give a voluntary statement (written or verbal) regardless of if you are innocent or not. Don't provide one if you are arrested either.
