Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

If the cops take someone in for questioning, how long can they hold them? or can the person leave?

Unless the individual is placed under arrest, he is free to leave at any time. However, anything that the individual says to the police can be used against that person in court. It is never a good idea to talk to the police about a crime where you are the suspect unless your attorney is physically in the room with you.
