Menacing is where the offender causes another to believe that the offender will cause physical harm to the person or property of the other person, the other person's unborn, or a member of the other person's immediate family. It's a fourth degree misdemeanor for which the offender can receive up to thirty days in jail. Aggravated menacing is where the offender causes another to believe that the offender will cause SERIOUS physical harm to the person or property of the other person, the other person's unborn, or a member of the other person's immediate family. It's a first degree misdemeanor for which the offender can receive up to six months in jail.
