Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Rights after prison release
My daughter is dating someone who I just found out was sentenced in Ohio to 6 months in jail for theft 2913.02 (A) (1) F-5. He was given 126 days credit. Do you know what kind of theft that would be, and after release would he be allowed to have a driver's license, credit card, or checking account? He seemed shady to me for numerous reasons before I found out this info.
Thanks

Re: Rights after prison release
What he can or can't do depends on the type of theft. Was it credit card fraud, forgery, employee theft, etc. Regardless, it should not prevent him from having a drivers license. Look to the court website where he was convicted and check the docket on his case to see what the charges were.
