Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
if a search has been executed on a home by the police, is there a copy of the warrant held on file somewhere?? when they executed the search they stated their was a warrant, but never actually produced one to be seen by homeowners. is there any way to verify that their was in fact a warrant to search the property.

Yes there must be a warrant for the search to be legal absent some exigent circumstance. Your attorney needs to request a copy of the warrant AND the affidavit on which the warrant was obtained.
