Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

sexual assault/rape

When I was 19 or 20, I engaged in sexual activity with a girl who was 16 or 17. Almost two years later her parents found out. What can they do to me? what can I do? What if I was 21? I have a college degree, a girlfriend over a year, and a good job at an investment firm. I dont know if they are taking legal action but I need to be ready! It was concentual but now I am worrite she will say that it was not.

Re: sexual assault/rape

I assume that you are talking about events that occurred in Ohio. Unfortunately, the answer to your question depends, in part, on more exact information. Was the girl 16 or was she 17? Were you 19 or were you 20?

As a practical matter, what evidence exists that this sexual act ever occurred? Did the girl become pregnant?

Without that type of information, it is really hard to give you a good answer. I would recommend that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney in your community to discuss the issue.
