Shoplifting
What is the possible fines or sentence for a first time shoplifter with a clean record?

The maximum fine is $1000.00 and a six month jail sentence. Normally the Court will give you a fine and a suspended jail sentence and stay out of the stroe in which you allegedly stole from. However every Court is different and each Judge has his thoughts on the matter.
Therefore, there is no such thing as a standard sentence, but the Court will treat a first timer much much lighter than a multiple offender.
