I have a case pending where a trooper wrote the supposibly voluntary statement. After receiving the discovery packet, it is clear that the trooper signed or forged my signature on the statement as well as changed the statement around. What action can I take against this? How do I get started?

If the police officer really did forge your signature that is a serious issue. Authorize your lawyer to hire a "questioned documents examiner" to prove that you did not sign the "statement." It will be expensive, but it will be worth it. Once you have proof, you can file an internal affairs complaint against the trooper for falsifying evidence.
