My son filed for judicial release and the judge denied because he filed to early. For a mandatory sentence is there a waiting period for filing and how long before he can file again?

There is a waiting period for judicial release and that depends on the sentence. If some portion of the sentence was mandatory, then you have to wait until he serves that portion. There are very strict guidelines on judicial release, including filing TOO LATE, so review the statute yourself or call me directly. 216.952.1990.
