Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
son going to trial and court appointed lawyer has not contacted him yet
my son has been jailed for 2 months on a felony charge. he has a court appointed lawyer, and his trial is set for next week. he has a conference two days before the trial, but his lawyer has not contacted him as of yet. i have called the lawyer many times but he has never responded. isnt there guidelines for a court appointed lawyer to follow such as taliking with his client before the conference. i spoke with the prosecutor and she said he should have called on my son weeks ago. we only have 5 days till trial and i would appreciate some help as quick as possible. thank you

No standards on these things. You get what you pay for. And please let this be a warning to not allow him to represent him!
