Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Out of state felony warrant

I live in Florida and I receive Social Security disability benefits now. They are going to stop paying me because I have a felony warrant in Ohio, unless I provide to them an official document from Ohio stating that they will not extradite me for the charge. The charge originates in Franklin county, from the Hilliard PD. I have contacted Hilliard PD, FC Clerk & state attorney and they have all told me they will not extradite me however they are not cooperating in given me this in writing. What can I do?

Re: Out of state felony warrant

Usually, if the Prosecuting Attorney in Ohio won't write a letter saying what you need, you have only two options, both of which are bad:

1) Get arrested in Florida (or somewhere besides Ohio) and wait for Ohio to issue a no-extradite statement, or

2) Go to Ohio and get the case taken care of.
