Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
statute of limitation
Is there a statute of limitation in Ohio on theft 2913.02 and passing bad checks 2913.11? My husband has an indictment for these that was on January 2003. He is now in prison in another state, Florida, on different charges. He does not have a detainer for these charges in Ohio, Just a detainer for V.O.P. So my question is, what is the statute of limitation in Ohio, on these charges and what if he is in prison , so far 6 years on another charge, in florida?

Re: statute of limitation
The detainer tolls the statute of limitations, so whenever he is released he will be sent to Ohio.
