Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Statute of Limitations

When I was 16 years old, I was molested by an uncle in Ohio (I also lived in Ohio at that time) who also raped my sister and she became pregnant. Under threat of bodily harm, my parent made my sister, who was 15 years old, have an abortion. This same uncle also molested his daughter, yet no one ever filed charges on him.

What is the time line for being able to file charges against this man? I have been in therapy for 20+ years over this incident and continue in therapy today.

Thank you for your time.

Re: Statute of Limitations

I don't have a clue what the statute is in OHIO, but if he was doing those things back then, the odds are that he never stopped. You can make a police report and then they will at least be aware of him.
