Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
stolen guitar
i purchased a guitar ..not knowing that it was stolen..when i found out it was,i found the guy it was stolen from 3 years ago..i have contacted him and he said he would come get it and buy it back...it has been 2months...i cannot get ahold of him any longer...is there a time limit when the guitar is mine legally??

This is not a question of criminal law, actually; it's a question of property and commercial paper law, though, given that a thief is involved, it can be hard to see the difference.
Short answer: hire a lawyer in your home state.
You may need to turn the guitar over to the police and ask them to get ahold of Owner or hold it for you until the statute of limitations on reclaiming abandoned or lost property has run.
