Stopped payment on checks
I gave my brother's girlfriend $2500 to help her. In return, she wrote out 5 $500 post dated checks to pay me back. She has stopped payment on these checks. Do I have the right to take her to court to get this money back?

You can file a small claims action against her. The hard part may be collecting on the judgment.
