Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Student rights

does a high school teacher have the right to intimidate a student, lay their hands on them without permission, and steel from them. I am asking because my principal told me they can do what ever they want on school property. This all happened to me. Also, I am a soldier in the Ohio Army National Guard and when i wore my uniform near this teacher he made fun of me, and the Army the entire time i was in his class. I was wondering if i could file charges on this teacher?

Re: Student rights

Unfortunately, if all that happened was he hurt your feelings, you can't do anything about it. He has a Constitutional Right to say anything he wants (within reason) regardless of how stupid it sounds.

If he has put his hands on you, that is a different story. No one is allowed to physically harm another person, regardless of who they are.
