what can you do if your client doesn't open up to you or tell you the truth?

many times it comes back to bite you in that the truth will come out and you will be surprised. At that point you have to assess the damage to the case and determine how to proceed. If a client lies to you and you know that they are lying, then you can not put them on the stand as an attorney can not furhter purgery.
