Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Is there a time limit on capias for misdemeanors?
I was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor in 1983 in Hamilton county, Oh. I posted a $250 bond myself and moved to Missouri. I never appeared in court so there was never a hearing on the charges, bond was forfeited and a capias issued. I have lived in Missouri for 21 years since then, raising a family. If I returned to Ohio today could I still be arrested? Or has the capias expired?
