Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
how do I get a TPO lifted off of my fianc? The Defendant is charge with domestic violence and as of 3/2014 he is still in jail for this. The state has taken up the case but me the victim don't want to press charges because I have forgiven him. The night in question was a big miscommunication that resulting in domestic dispute. We still want to be together because we have a lot of plans we have made together that we don't want to let one bad night ruin that, so what can I do to help him get out of jail on this?

Please contact the Victim Advocates office at your local court or prosecutor's office. It would also be beneficial if you appeared at any court hearings for the case. The Court may give you an opportunity to speak at those hearings.
