vehicular assult

my friend was accused of drunk driving and in a wreck hurt someone badly. they gave her 5 years for aggrevated vehicular assult. is that mandatory or a lawyer whose daughter is sleeping with my friends husband, yea i can prove it its not just being bitter or petty, who do you report things like that to..or does anyone even care about not so straight arrow lawyers since hes been around a long time.

It is difficult to respond to your question, as it got garbled and there are words missing. A five year sentence for aggravated vehicular assault is within the sentencing range permitted by statute. To the best of my knowledge, it is not a mandatory sentence. Rather, the sentence in these cases is left up to the Judge.

I am unclear what the "lawyer whose daughter is sleeping with my friends husband" comment is referring to. Likewise, the comment about "not so straight arrow lawyers" does not make sense. I have to assume that some portion of your original posting --- the part where you connect these comments to your friend's case --- is what got garbled and is missing from this posting. Without that portion, I cannot respond to these issues.
