Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
possible verdicts
I know someone who has been charged with tampering w/records (3rd degree), uttering (5th degree), and possession of criminal tools (5th degree). I also know that this person was denied a diversion. Does it seem like this person would be given a tougher sentence since he/she was denied diversion or can the judge still give probation or community service for these crimes since it was denied originally? How bad are these charges?

Re: possible verdicts
There are other diversion programs that can be requested, and the punishment is determined by the guy's record and the seriousness of the crime...how much was stolen and whether it was returned...things like that.
