Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
warrant search and seizures
Hello I am a law student(1st year) I was wondering does a warrant need to be presented to someone when searching a residents. Or can the residents be searched if no one is home at the time of search, without the warrant being presented to anyone. If so why, and does the resident ever recieve a copy of the warrant?

Re: warrant search and seizures
The warrant allows the officers to go inside the house regardless as to who is there...a copy of the warrant and more importantly the affidavit supporting the warrant are made available after a couple days or weeks from the execution of the warrant.
