Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
What will I get charged with?
On Thursday, I was with a girl from my class that I don't really like but we needed to get something for school. After she wanted to go shopping so we went into Kohl's, where she was planning on stealing things but I had no intention of doing so. She didn't have enough room in her purse so I let her use the bag I had because she said she would carry it out. Later on before leaving the store, she handed it to me while she was looking at something, and I walked out with it, completely forgetting there were stolen items in it. Of course, we got caught and now I'm being charged with the same thing as her, which I completely understand because technically I did steal those things. I'm really worried about court on Tuesday because this is something so out of character for me... I would never intentionally do something like this. What will happen in court? What should I plead?

You should probably plead not guilty and retain a lawyer. What court are you in?
