Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
I was working as a subcontractor for a small construction comapany that isn't good about paying me and has ripped me off multiple times. It's part of my job to pick up final payment from customers. I'm currently holding about 25,000 dollars worth of checks and I told the company I won't turn these in until they square up with me and pay the money they owe me. They are saying this is illegal and are giving me a hard time. Is this a legal way to get paid or not?

Yes. Get all of your documentation together that evidence what you are owed and file a lawsuit in either small claims court or the county court.
