Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
wrongfully arrested.
i was wrongfully arrested and spent one week in jail for a crime that i did not commit 130 miles away from my home. after going back and forth to court the charges against me were dismissed without prejudice 2 counts felonious assult 2 counts of armed robbery and 2 counts of kidnapping against two elderly victims.i lost wages and suffered emotionally it gets alot deeper than that.can i sue for damages.

Short answer: No.
If the prosecutor had information to sustain a resonable belief that you were the suspect and did not bring the charges against you maliciously or for his own personal motives, he is immune from civil suits for doing his job.
