Legal Question in DUI Law in Ohio

Charged with physical control while parked in private lot

I was arrested while parked in a church parking lot for having physical control of the a vehicle and being under the influence. I refused the testing and was arrested, what fines, penalties am i looking at? and wouldn't they have to have cause to search me in a church parking being that it is private property? they also never asked for drivers license or registration, and i let them know i was waiting for a ride and that is why i was there.

There are alot of other factors that can help or hurt your case. The good thing is that you are charged with physical control versus DUI. Plea NOT GUILTY at your initial appearance and contact an attorney. Feel free to contact me if you have additional questions. 216...227...0900.

If you didn't intend on driving the car, and you were just sitting in it, you exonerate yourself. Need more facts to know, but Wedenesday's hearing is just for you to plead not guilty. You just have to be there, or hire an attorney to file something for you.
