Drunk driver's passenger
If you are a passenger in a car with a drunk driver and the car is involved in an accident and you (the passenger) sustain an injury to your thumb that causes permanent damage, will you be held responsible for choosing to ride with a drunk driver in considering your compensation settlement from the insurance company?

Re: Drunk driver's passenger
Some part of your ultimate award will be lost but probably not all of it....you contributed to your injuries by taking a chance with that driver....
how much you knew he was drunk would influence things the most....
a jury makes the final decision on that issue...
but you should still make your claim with your insurance company as well as his insurance company....
