Dui
Should we have obtained a lawyer for my son's DUI court appearance? He failed sobriety and breathilizer. Would it still be possible to get driving priveleges for him to get back to college (3.5 hours away) and get a job to pay back fines?

It is usually a good idea to get an attorney. There may still be issues an attorney can help you with regarding the stop and testing of your son. Also, it is possible to get privileges for job and education after the end of the "hard time", which varies depending on if he has previous convictions and what was his breath test level.
