Legal Question in DUI Law in Ohio

I received an OVI charge in Kent, Ohio last Friday. I was originally pulled over for a faulty headlight. My court case is this Friday. I'm not sure if I should hire a lawyer or not. I blew a '.090' (this was not written down anywhere, the officer told me when I was at the station), but at the station approximately 1 1/2 hour later I blew a '.112'. This was my first offense, and I have never gotten anything else other than a few speeding tickets on my record.

I'm not looking to hire a lawyer to get out of it -- I deserve to be punished. I'm only seeking a lawyer to enter a plea bargain, or have an alternative resolution/minimize jail-time.

Is having a lawyer really necessary? All the websites I look at seem so gimmicky and I don't understand how you can really go against a '.112' BAC.

When you get to court, you will be asked whether you can afford a lawyer...if you cannot they will appoint one...

A DUI can effect you the rest of your life....YOU CANNOT EXPUNGE A DUI>>>>> EVER>>>> and you have a VERY GOOD CHANCE to get out of it, because your BAC levels are somewhat low...

use the attorney you are given, and get out of this....YOU WILL THANK YOURSELF YEARS AND YEARS FROM NOW if you do this right!!!!
