It is a federal offense to steal a person’s mail. Others offenses they may have committed are breaking and entering if they entered your property and broke into your mailbox and also identity theft since they took your bank statements that included bank account and other personal information. These are all very serious federal offenses and if convicted would result in a federal prison sentence as well as substantial fines. You should discuss your case with an attorney before you proceed.
