Elder law
My grandmother is in a nursing home. My mom is the POA for her health care and estate. As the days go by, my grandmother's dementia is becoming more and more apparent. My aunt had a lawyer draw up co-POA papers and had my grandmother sign them. My aunt is more concerned with the estate than my grandmother's well being. What can we do? Is this legal?

Re: Elder law
If your grandmother was not competent to sign the new co-POA papers, (and/or the papers were not properly executed), the validity may be challenged. Also, if your grandmother's interests are not being well-served by her POAs, it may be worth considering asking the Probate Court to appoint a Guardian for your grandmother.
