Elderly parent living alone/dementia
I am an only child and my mother lives in her house alone. She can no longer take care of herself but she refuses to go into an assisted living facility no matter how much I try to convince her. Her neighbors call and harass me that I need to do something but I do not have the money to take her to court to force her to go in assisted living. I am between a rock and a hard place but no one seems to want to help. I already called adult protective services but they have done nothing to help.

You may consider filing for guardianship if your mother truly needs someone to take over her care and/or affairs for her. Feel free to contact me if you need further information.
