retirement home
We are placing our mother into a retirement home. On the application they are asking about all her assets and wanting copies of her financial documents. Will they have any rights to her assets when she dies? Can they dictate how she spends her money while she is alive?

Re: retirement home
Have you or mother done any financial or estate planning up to this point? The retirement facility wants to know her assets to determine the source of funding for her care. I suggest you get some professional advice from a financial planner or estate attorney.
