Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
15 years ago I had a daughter. The guy I was with at the time was not her biological father, but his name is on the birth certificate. We were living in Ky at the time we separated, and he was granted visitation rights. On one of his visits he obtained temporay custody (why I dont know), he called me and said tell her goodbye, because you will never see her again, and went to the state of Ohio. No one would help me because of the temporary custody, and he moved to Ohio. I recently found my daughter, and her father let her come and visit whenever I wanted to, and take her to my home.\n\n\nHer father recently died of lung cancer, and I could not get ahold of my daughter for days. I recently found out that her fathers sister has her, and the sister told me she had full custody. She said her brother had this in his will.\n\nI really dont believe this, and would like to file for emergency custody of my daughter in Toledo, OH as soon as possible. These people live well below the poverty level, and my daughter told me that everything she had including clothes was destroyed during the move, and they have no money to buy her clothes.\n\nWhat do I need to do to get emergency custody first, then permanenet custody? Any advice would be helpful as I am very desperate at this point!

You would need to file for custody in order to get your daughter back. Now, is the father still alive? I am a little confused based on the facts that you gave me. Feel free to contact me, free of charge, at [email protected] or [email protected]
Thanks and have a great day.
