Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Admissability of At home dna tests

Is an at-home paternity test (that was administered without the consent of the mother) admissable in a child custody case involving unwed parents after the father signed an affidavit of paternity and the birth certificate? Thank you.

Depends on the overall reliability of the test, and whether it was properly administered. You're still going to need a medical expert to interpret the results.
