Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Adopted childs rights

The question to you is as follows. I will not go into great details on this matter. Our daughter has a daughter who was adopted by her mothers second marriage husband. At the present they are divorced. The adopting father was very abusive (mentality and physical )with the daughter and mother. The mother ( our daughter) is concerned that if she would die that her daughter would have to live with this man. What can be done? Is there any hope? Child is 13 years old and living with her mother ( our daughter) at the present time.

Thank you. I appreciate any comments on this matter.

Re: Adopted childs rights

Is the adopted daughter also adopted by the man who is currently in your daughter's life? This is not clear.
