need advice

my son met a young lady with 2 daughters she got pregnant, they married oct.05,he adopted her 2 daughters aug.07, she had a boyfriend by jan.08, & moved in with him by march. right now he is trying to save enuf to disolve the marriage. we think he was cohersed into adopting the girls,because the ex husband wasnt paying child support & gave up all rights to both. she seems to think she has the right to dictate to him when he has the kids, usually when its convenient for her. what kind of rights does my son have as far as child support, custody, visitation.

He has all the rights to the children that a natural father would, by virtue of the adoption proceedings. If he wants to establish these formally, he needs to file a motion for visitation at the very least, along with his divorce complaint.
