Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

alimony reduction

my exhusband wants to reduce alimony by $100 for the next 5 months because he has had a 10% pay cut for the next 20 weeks. He has told me if I don't accept this proposal then he would go back to court and request a reduction for the life of the commitment (6 yrs. as of June. He hasn't sold the rental property as yet (part of the divorce agreement) and he has kept all the rent to supliment his income. Our divorce was final 6/6/08. What are my options? Can I have the $500 added to the end of the alimony period?

Re: alimony reduction

I suggest that you do nothing. If he files for change of alimony, I believe he there is a good chance he will get nothing. If he does file, make sure you get a lawyer! You may actually recieve something from the hearing rather than loose. Best regards, Edward DiCato
