Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Allowing the other parent full custody/adoption

I was divorced roughly two years ago. How would I go about allowing the mother of my child and her new husband the right to adopt my son? Would it cost me anything? I understand I would have no rights at all left when it comes to my son. Would there be any responsibilities left on my part?

Thanks

Re: Allowing the other parent full custody/adoption

If you consent to the adoption then you do not have any parental rights or responsibilities. Further, when you die your child may not inherit from your estate unless it specifically includes the child. It should not cost you anything to sign a consent to adoption which is done through the probate court.
