Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Am I aloud to MOVE?

My son is 4 years old, and his father hasn't came around in about 8 months, no calls or shows. I am wanting to move to FL around september of this year. My dad has a disease called cerrabellum ataxia, and the only time he is out of bed is when it is warm outside, that is why we have all chosen to move down there. I was wondering what my rights were to move out of state. I don't know where my sons father is living or anything and he does not pay me any child support. Please get back with me asap!

Re: Am I aloud to MOVE?

Depends entirely on what your divorce decree says. Generally, you need a court order or permission of the other party to move the residence of a child in your custody. You must be prepared to show why the move is in the best interests of the child.
