attorney not doing his job

what recourse do i have when my atttoryney is not doing his job and lying to me by stating that legal papers have been filed when they have not. divorced in florida 10-08 but now reside in ohio.

You can fire your attorney and hire new counsel. You can contact the local bar association and explain that you may have a grievance. You do not have to accept inadequate representation, if that is what you believe you are getting.
