Blackmail

An ex-boyfriend is threatening to post intimate pictures of me including giving them to my husband. It boils down to he wants me back and blackmails me with this to get attention from me. Is there any legal action I can take? Is blackmail an actual criminal offense?

Sure, there is legal action you can take. Consult with a local attorney about a restraining order, damges, etc. And, yes, it is a criminal offense.
