brother has shared custody of minor child. in jail for cultivation of marajuana. first time offense.
mother has filed motion for full custody.

He can try to delay the final decision until he gets out, assuming that he isn't in for longer than a year. He should participate fully in the proceedings by using a lawyer. He can also petition the court to make an appearance in those court dates. Contact me directly if you want. 216.952.1990
If he was active in the child's life before the trouble, then he will be able to maintain contact. He can get it all back when he gets out, but he should seek to continue contact by phone and letters if possible.
