Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

How do I change my first name

I am a female with a males first name and middle name. My whole life I have been embarrased by people thinking I am a male just because of my first name. I want to know if I have to legally change my first name or can I just use an alias name in addition to my birth name? If I must change it legally what does this usually cost? If I do not need to change it legally then how do I use this alias for employment or bank accounts etc.

Name changes are handled by the Probate Court in your jurisdiction. Filing fees may vary, e.g., in Hamilton County, the filing fee is $95. If you hire an attorney to assist you, there will be attorney fees. Probate Courts usually have form packets that are available for the asking.
