Child Custody

My brother-in-law, after coming home from a vacation with his son only, decided to tell my sister he wants a divorce. Then called the police saying she hit him, so she was arressted for domestic violence.

He now has custody of their son, and is claiming she is psychotic. her trial isn't for a few weeks. will they then decide if she can have custody, or will they take his word for it and have her evaluated?

her attorney should insist on having her evaluated by an independent psychologist.
