child custody

my daughter is 16 years of age and is undergoing emotional and other forms of abuse by her mother. she has told her mother that she wants to live with me, her father. what do i have to do to accomplish this?

Re: child custody

You need to file a motion in the Court of Common Pleas requesting a change of custody. The Court will take it as most instructive the wishes of the child. It would be a good idea to have an "in camera" interview with the Court so that the Magistrate can speak to the child without her mom or dad present.
