Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Custody

I was divorced in Ohio in '02 and moved to SC with approval of my ex 3 yrs ago. I have full custody of our 8 yr old son, and now that I want to move back to Ohio from SC, he is irate and threatening me that he will take my son. He is an illegal alien from Turkey and also has a criminal record of murder. (In turkey). He says he has dirt to use against me in court, although I have been a good parent. I was told just to file an ''intent to relocate'' in ohio, since the court order has never been modified. Can he really stop me from moving for work and take my son? I need help!!!

Re: Child Custody

It is unrealistic that he will gain full custody when you now have full custody of your son. He cannot stop you if the move is in your son's best interest. The fact that he threatens you is very disturbing. This sounds abusive.
